acknowledge the receipt of your letter 23154/16 of

the 24th ultimo, and to express his regret that

a copy of a note rom the American Ambes dor 1

May 1st, relative to the action of the Censorship

Authorities at Hong Kong was accidentally omitted

from Foreign Office letver 10.91667/N.C./16 of the

16th ultimo.

A copy of the American Ambassador's note

in question is now closed, together with the

original inclosures therein.
